SUBJECT PRONOUNS
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. The subject of a sentence is a person or thing that performs the action of the verb. A subject pronoun is used as the subject of a sentence in place of a person’s or thing’s name or description, particularly after the subject has already been introduced to avoid repetition. Subject pronouns usually come before the main verb. These are the subject pronouns we use in English: IT (third singular person) is normally used when we refer to an object, thing, animal or idea (not people).
