DEMONSTRATIVES


THIS THAT THESE THOSE

We use “this” (singular) and “these” (plural) to talk about people/ things that are near us in distance (here) or time. Examples:
  •  I like this color.
  •  I like these colors.
  • What have you been doing these days? 

We use “that” (singular) and “those” (plural) to talk about people/ things that are far away (there) in distance or time. Examples:
  • Can you see that start in the sky?
  • Can you bring me those books on that table please?
  • I don’t remember that day.  


     
     

    Write some sentences with this, that, these and those.
